What is Oman ePost service?

It is a Hybrid system that combines the Digital mail and Printed mail in one awesome Postal address.

What are the features you can get with Oman ePost?
  • The ePost Address registration does not expire. Your ePost Address is yours for life. Also you can receive your digital documents, like electricity bill from MEDC in your ePost account.
  • In addition to receiving digital mail, with an annual subscription of 20 OMR for Personal account and 60 OMR for Companies and Institutions account, the ePost Box can receive Printed mail as well. Also you can get a premium ePost address.
  • Receive daily SMS alerts for Printed mail received at the post office.
  • Flexible mail pickup address not limited to one post office. You can designate any Post Office in Oman for mail pickup.
  • The possibility to track your mail easily through the company’s website.
  • When your mail arrives, you can arrange to collect it by yourself , or authorize another person
Can I connect my ePost to my forward mail box?

Yes and you can receive your mail through the forward mail box and still enjoying the benefits of your ePost. Forward mail box (20 Riyal) and ePost (20 Riyal) fees must be paid annually.

Are ePost services available to companies and government?

Yes and it is also available for citizens and residents.

What are the fees required to have an ePost?

Service fees are: 20 O.R. for individuals; 60 O.R. for companies.

Can I have a premium ePost service number?

Yes and you can choose the number you want as you register on our web page. You will type the ePost number you wish to have and then you will be notified with the costs which arrange between 10- 250 O.R.

What is the difference between (Virtual) and (Forward) mail box?
  • (Virtual): requires an annual subscription through which the individuals and companies throughout the Sultanate can receive their mail from the office directly after receiving the SMS notice.
  • (Forward): is a service that enables the clients to collect their mail from the forward mail box according to the number given to them.
Can I authorize any person to collect my virtual mail?

If the owner of the mail box is unable to collect the mail personally, an authorized person is allowed to receive the mail by showing his/her ID and the password for the one time code authorization. Note that the authorization can be permanent too.

What are the needed procedures for applying to a one time use authorization (One Time Authorization Code )?

  • Choose Delivery Manager
  • Choose One Time Authorization Code
  • Enter the password that the client wants
What are the needed procedures for applying to a permanent authorization?
  • Enter your account on www.epost.om
  • Choose settings at the top of the page
  • Choose Delivery Manager
  • Choose Multiple Delivery Authorization Code
  • Enter the authorization number  (numbers will be sent to the subscribers’ email immediately after approved )
What should I do if I forget the username or password of my ePost?
  • Enter your account on www.epost.om
  • Click on sign in
  • Click on forgot my password
  • Enter the details of your ID (card’s type and civil number)
How can I complain or inquire about ePost?

  • You will find end of home page a blank you can write your complain or inquire about ePost
Can I renew my subscription online?

Yes you can.

  • Choose renew subsecrbe then enter your bank account information and complete the other required information
Can I change the place of collecting mail using the website? How?

Yes you can.

  • Choose change subscribe Sittings
  • Choose Delivery mode then Delivery Point
What are the requirements for individuals’ registration?
  • A copy of your ID
  • Subscriber’s details  (email and phone number)
  • 20 O.R.
What are the requirements for the companies’ registration?
  • A copy of chamber of commerce card
  • A copy of the commercial registration
  • A copy of the subscriber’s ID
  • Subscriber’s details (email and phone number)
  • Company’s details (email and phone number)
  • 60 O.R.
What is the content of the SMS?
  • The number of postal items
  • The type of postal items
  • The place of collecting (the office where you will collect your mail)
Can I have another ePost number?

Yes you can. All you have to do is visiting any near postal office.

Can I track my package/mail through the website? And how?

Yes you can track your mail.

How can I login my account in the website?
  • At the home page of www.epost.om you will find username-password
  • Enter the information(username-password)
  • Choose I am not a robot
Will I be notified when my service gets expired?

Yes, you will receive a notification on your email.

How can I change my password?
  • Enter your account on www.epost.om
  • Choose sittings at the top of the page
  • Choose change password
Is it necessary to have ePost number?

Having ePost number is not a necessity, but it is advised for the following reasons:

  • In the near future the communication between the citizens and the government will be through the ePost. The mail will be connected to the ePost and if you do not have one, you will not be able to receive them.
  • The early registration gives you the advantage of choosing a number that is special to you such as you birthday date or other personal details.
Why would I buy a special number?
  • For institutions: the ePost number printed on the business cards and official documents will be part of the institution’s identity
  • For individuals: the ePost number will reflect their personality and particularity
If I am going to leave the country permanently, will my ePost number be deleted immediately? What is the followed procedure?

Your ePost number will be with you for the rest of your life, so there is no need to cancel it.

What should I do if I forget the Delivery authorization code?
  • Enter your account on www.epost.om
  • Choose sittings at the top of the page
  • Choose delivery manager
  • Click on (click here to recover Delivery Authorization Code.
  • You well get it on your email
If I change my delivery point what will happen to my previous item?

Client are kindly required to clear all their mail before changing their point of delivery

Can I edit my details online?
  • Yes you can.
  • Enter your account on www.epost.om
  • Choose profile at the top of the page
  • Click on Edit
Can my family use my ePost address?

No, ePost is personal account and only the subscriber is eligible to operate the account. A fine of 1 OMR per item will be imposed for sharing the ePost account with other individuals.
